PATTERNMAKING AND GARMENT CONSTRUCTION LESSONS
Location
Lessons are held at the studio in Puchong, Selangor. On-street parking is available for those who are driving. For those taking public transport, the bus stop is about 15 minutes away from the studio.
Off-site classes for pattern making and garment construction are available upon request. Please email us at thesewingroomdiva@gmail.com for quotation.
Registration
Registration is opened to ladies only.
Advanced registration is required for all lessons. Email us at thesewingroomdiva@gmail.com to register. To register for the lessons, a 50% deposit is required with the remaining balance due 72 hours before the date of each class. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Lessons run from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm though some may run from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm or 4:00 pm with a break for lunch.
Students will work on their own separate project.
Included in the fee
For all classes, fee is inclusive of use of the studio and other normal tools and equipment such as iron, rulers, measuring tape, tailors chalk, tracing wheel etc.
Fee is inclusive of use of the overlocker, for garment construction lessons only.
Fee exclude use of sewing machine. Students may learn and practice on own machine. Students could also rent the use of the sewing machines available at the studio. Please email us at thesewingroomdiva@gmail.com to book the sewing machine.
Students need to purchase all fabric, notions, and sewing tools where necessary to complete the project. (A basic supplies list is provided upon completion of enrollment).
B.Y.O
Students need to ensure their machine for smooth running before bringing it to the class, this is only fair to others.
Although we provide tools and equipment for use during the workshop, we encourage students to bring own tools (such as fabric shear, paper scissors, rulers, pins, measuring tape, hand-sewing needles and thread, tracing wheel, pin cushion, seam ripper, at least two mechanical pencil with 0.7mm tip, a good eraser, sharpie pens, sticky tapes). Having familiar stuff to work with helps to maximise efficiency and therefore saves time and effort which in turn increases the chances of successfully completing the lesson within the recommended time.
Homework
There will be homework given. Cooperation in completing homework will increase chances of successfully completing the lesson within the recommended time.
Cancellations and refunds
Refunds are not issued after payment is submitted. All fees, including deposits and installment payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event of low enrollment, we reserve the right to cancel a class at any time. If a class is canceled, enrolled students will be notified at least 24 hours prior to the start of class and will receive a full refund.
Safety
For the safety of all students, please follow our studio rules. Studio rules will be discussed at the beginning of each class. Any questions or concerns regarding safety, please inform our representative immediately.
Attendance
Classes start and end on time. Please be on time, but not more than 10 minutes before class. There are no makeups for missed sessions.
Photography
Throughout class there will be photographing and/or videotaping students and their work and we may publish the recordings online or in other places for marketing purposes. Students agree that their picture and sound may be used by us without granting any additional permissions. Please let us know if there are specific questions about this.
Lost or damaged property
We are not responsible for students’ lost or damaged property.
Risk of injury
Students acknowledge that attending a class or other event at the studio, involves certain risks and that injuries, death, property damage, or other harm could occur to the students or others. Students accept all risks of any injuries, damages, or harm which arise during or result from attending a class or other event at studio or produced by us regardless of whether or not caused in whole or in part by the negligence or other fault of KLIE Enterprise and/or its affiliates, employees, officers, agents or insurers. MADE TO MEASURE GARMENT MAKING SERVICE
Booking
To book for our service, a 50% deposit is required. The remaining balance is due upon collection of the item. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
No changes to the design and measurement will be entertained after payment of deposit. Work will commence after deposit is received.
Fitting Session and Release of Finished Items
Arrangement for fitting session will be made once payment/deposit has been received. Fitting sessions will take about 30minutes to 45minutes and is on appointment basis only.

Items will only be released upon full payment. A release slip will be issued upon full payment where the customer aknowledges acceptance of the finished item. Request for changes or adjustments after the release slip is issued is subject to a surcharge.
Customers who have paid in full for the MADE TO MEASURE PATTERNMAKING SERVICE/MADE TO MEASURE GARMENT MAKING SERVICE may opt,
a) to enroll for the respective garment construction lessons at a 10% discount, subject to class availability.
b) to purchase the respective paper pattern at RM45.00 per set

Notification for Collection
Notification will be via email. If no collection is made after 3 months from the date of notification by email, the item will be classified as none-collection.
None-collection
In the event of none-collection, we reserve the right to forfeit any deposits and installment payments. We also reserve the right to resell the item to another 3rd party.
Alteration
